Summary:
As Rush Chair for the
Alpha Tau Omega Fraternity I was responsible for the recruitment of all new
members. The Rush Chairman was also responsible for contacting all students
interested in the fraternal system for the university. The planning of the
events for Campus based Spring, Fall and Winter term Rush Week events and all
of campus summer activities.
Details:
- Led all recruitment efforts of the Alpha Tau Omega Fraternity.
- Contacted students interested in fraternities at the University of Oregon.
- Planned two events per week over the months of July, August and the first weeks of September.
- Responsible for coordinating the events and getting members to the locations as well as rushes.
- Planned and oversaw all of the events for the fraternity for rush week; daily activities, events, house tours, after hours events.
- Educated house members on proper recruiting techniques.
Achievements:
- Contacted and spoke to all 250 students that requested information from the university.
- Alpha Tau Omega accepted commitments from 18 out of 79 students accepting bids from 16 Houses.
- Alpha Tau Omega had the largest Pledge class on campus for Fall term.
- Fall pledge class that I recruited went on to have two house presidents, a vice president and several other successful house members.
